The PE net extrusion process is a continuous manufacturing technique used to produce strong, lightweight plastic nets for applications like fencing, packaging, agriculture, and safety. High-density or low-density polyethylene (HDPE/LDPE) is mixed with additives such as UV stabilizers and color masterbatch, then fed into a heated extruder. The polymer melts and is pushed through a specially designed die-either flat or rotary-forming the basic mesh structure.For flat fencing nets, a flat die creates bi-directional mesh, while rotary dies are used for tubular or sleeve nets. The hot extruded net is shaped using calibration plates or rollers, then cooled quickly using a water bath or air tunnel to retain its structure. Pulling rollers ensure consistent speed and tension, followed by edge trimming and roll winding.Post-treatment may include UV protection or softening for flexibility. The final product is tested for strength, mesh size, thickness, and durability. This efficient, low-waste process allows high-volume production of nets used in farming, garden fencing, construction barriers, and industrial packaging.
