Possumdown has its roots in timeless design, enviromental consciousness and above all else, that distinctive kiwi flavour.

Emerging in the 80's as the country's very first developer of the unique possum fur and merino yarn, it is now being recognised internationally as a firstclass knitwear brand.

Creating long-lasting, savvy knitwear has been the number one objective ever since Possumdown's modest beginnings.

Part of the secret behind the quality and longevity of Possumdown garments is the way we select our yarn. By blending hand selected Possum Fur with gentle merino, the result is quite spectacular.

With our standards being set so high, creating unique yarn blends for the collection is an arduous process of trial and error. But we think the final result is well worth the effort.
