The Group was founded in 1948 by the Late Shri N Ranga Rao and started as a manufacturer of quality incense sticks (Agarbathies) in India under the Brand name CYCLE. Today, with a 20% share in the organized segment, the Group has diversified into different lines of Business and is a name to reckon with in all the categories they are present in which are:

Back in 1948, when NR group was found and conceptualized, Mr. N.Ranga Rao, owing to his enterprising nature and keen foresight, called this range of incense sticks CYCLE , As Cycle was one of the few words that connoted a value for money offering in any language spoken in India

From that date until now, there has been no looking back for the NR Group. Today, the Group is professionally managed by the third generation of the Ranga Rao family. Mr Arjun Ranga , Managing Partner of N.Ranga Rao & Sons, Mr. Pavan Ranga, CEO of Rangsons Electronics and Mr. Kiran Ranga, CEO of RIPPLE, all of whom are equipped with International degrees in Management in the best of Universities from US like Harvard, and returned to take over the reins of the Legacy their Grandfather created

Under the aegis of the young Entrepreneurs, the Company has grown to great heights, some of the highlights being:

o First to adopt FMCG Channel of distribution
o Exports to more than 40 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America, Middle East, Far East and North America
o Has a library of 500 fragrances, every single one of them created and blended in-house
o Rangsons Electronics has seen a CAGR of almost 55% over the last 5 years
o NESSO is the largest producer of tuberose and Jasmine extracts in the world that is used in many world famous perfumes

The group is also very passionate about several Social Initiatives which they run through their arm The NR Foundation under which they run a residential school for visually challenged girls and several other initiatives in the field of health and education.
