Commfins core business is the finance of commodities focussing on oil and fuel related products but also metals and other soft commodities, particularly specialising in structuring innovative credit facilities at international rates. Commfin has developed a network of financial institutions and international banking arrangements. Typically credit periods have ranged between 30 and 120 days although longer terms may be possible.

The directors of Commfin have long track records with various banking institutions including Merrill Lynch, Swiss Bank Corporation, Fortis, ABN AMRO and Schroder.

We facilitate structuring financing solutions by working with clients existing local bank and commodity suppliers whilst combining it with our network of contacts and internal expertise. Our aim is to provide more cost effective solutions to our clients than they might already achieve by themselves. We can work with most commodities but we have recently been more active in fuel, rice, gold and sugar.

In most instances we work very closely with our client, their banks and their existing suppliers to facilitate financial solutions for credit purchase solutions. On numerous occasions we are asked to compliment our financial solutions with an alternative source of product supply for our clients. Where we do not already have a close relationship with the clients current supplier we endeavour to assist

We are regularly approached by suppliers to enquire if we have potential purchasers for their bulk commodities. As an example, we currently have large quantities of sugar, sorghum, maize flour and rice available for purchase on term contracts. Other products are also available.
