Company Introduction
NORTHSTREAM
Northstream, the new face of packaging technology, came in to existence on the 4th of July 2008. The enterprise is a venture undertaken by M / s. Southern Chips and Circuits Private Limited, an electronics component OEM based in South Bangalore.
Realising the need for cutting edge packaging solutions, especially in the area of exports, Southern Chips has roped in the services of Mr. Rajesh R. (Chief Design Specialist) and Mr. Paul Thomas (Manager-Business development) , both having an exposure of around 5 years in packaging techniques (both Domestic and Exports) to reinforce its capabilities.
Northstream is now focused on core areas of consultancy and implementation of Turn-key packaging projects that would include industries such as Electronics, Medical, Auto component, Aerospace parts, Mechanical Equipments, Machined parts etc. At the moment, the firm has a 4500 sq. ft. facility in Bommasandra, near Electronics City to manufacture Plywood boxes, crates, containers and pallets. We will shortly start the process of expanding into paper corrugated parts and other related accessories to compliment our product range. Our objective is to become a one-stop-shop for quality packaging products in Bangalore city and in time country-wide.
Our quality and environmental policies are extremely robust. Strict checks and procedures are in place to ensure that products and services are delivered to our customers with precision, quality and without blemish. We are in the process of maintaining ISO standards and the certification will follow shortly. As far as wood is concerned, we will be using Australian pinewood and rubber wood as and when the need arises. Since most of the other types of wood in the market are not effectively regulated to check for environmental degradation, we will not be using them, eg: Jungle wood. Having said this, as far as possible we will attempt to restrict ourselves to plywood as it is exempted from ISPM-15 international laws for export.
We are currently in the process of cementing strategic tie-UPS with companies (Domestic and Overseas) specializing in core areas of packaging products to augment our product range. Our product line-up will shortly encompass the entire spectrum of quality packaging products to cater to all forms of industries.
