Extrusion coating is the plastic transformation process with which molten polymer is applied on a non plastic support (paper, aluminium. . ) in order to obtain a multi-material complex.
The main sectors for which the extrusion coating application represents major markets are food and non food packaging, and pharmaceutical packaging. However, this application is also used for the manufacturing of goods for the construction (insulation elements) and the photographic industry (paper) .
