Company Profile
Kundan has a manufacturing base which is located at Vasai 30 KM from Mumbai, India and corporate office at Mumbai. Kundan operation started in 1978 and it is functioning as closely held family business firm. Our turnover in 2006-2007 financial years was Rs. 80 crores (20 Million US Dollars) and average growth is 35% in last 4 years. Our present production is 350 MT per month (1,500,000 pieces per day), which is expected to be double in next couple of years.
The company makes wide range of fasteners and adding sophisticated machines to cover more range. Company is under vertical expansion to meet the global demand and growing with a fast pace.
We are manufacturer and supplier of fasteners to OEMs as well as having distribution through dealers network in India and exporting to various countries across the globe. We have got export excellence award from Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) for 5 years (1995-2000) and one more award from EEPC in 2006.
Quality
Kundan has achieved ISO/TS 16949: 2002 certification in Feb 2006 and earlier were having ISO 9002 & QS 9000 accreditation for Automobile & General Engineering
We have in-house Physical and Chemical testing facilities equipped with sophisticated instruments. Critical Parameters are checked on-line and finally each piece is sorted out before dispatch.
Having TRACEABILITY SYSTEM to find out history of the product; a batch number is allocated, which is available on every packing box. This ensures for quality and confidence in the product.
Our approach is Lean and Quality Product of International Standards with Zero Defects.
Tensile Strength, Hardness, Elongation are regularly checked as per the requirement and laboratory is equipped with UTM, Rockwell Hardness Machine, Profile Projector and other Physical Testing Machines including Microscope.
The Chemical Laboratory is having the facility of Elemental Analysis (Chemical Composition) and Salt Spray Chamber for Corrosion Test.
Manufacturing
Kundan has State-of-the-Art plant equipped with ultra modern high-tech multi-station cold forging latest automatic machines and other facilities including Thread Rolling, Tapping, Trimming, Secondary Operation Machines etc - all under one roof. We have in-house tool room and make critical dies ourselves.
We have on-line quality systems which ensure for the zero rejection and high quality products. We are doing special surface treatment of Stainless Steel Fasteners to obtain bright silver finish. The special polished fasteners have much better gloss than nickel/chrome plating and aesthetically better with higher corrosion resistance.
