Briefly, SPECTECH ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. (CO. NO. 127592) was founded in September 1984, to design and fabricate water treatment systems and other engineering equipment for the water purification industry. Later on, in August 1991, IMELTECH SDN. BHD. (CO. NO. 223078-K) was incorporated to handle the marketing aspect of the engineering business. SPECTECH CHEMICAL SDN. BHD. (CO. NO. 393171-D) formed in July 1996 is the bumiputra marketing arm of the group and is registered with Kementerian Kewangan Malaysia (No. Rujukan Pendaftaran : 357-00045123)

Today, in almost any part of Malaysia, you are sure to find an IMELTECH/SPECTECH product working for a better tomorrow in fields such as Water Purification, Medical, Home Care and Skin Care. In its effort to build an identity common amount the group, the trade name i-tec with the logo of a friendly dolphin has been adopted in all products marketed by the IMELTECH/SPECTECH group of companies.
