The group - NORECOM - was founded 65years ago in Germany; in order to become the centre of the groups financing, investing and trading operations. Following the world-wide globalization and the upmarket and downmarket integration of the industries in the last years of the old millennium, NORECOM has been continuously changing its mode from a classical trading house to a multiactive player in forest and steel industry by means of investments, joint ventures, share allocations and pure financing of suppliers and customers. NORECOM is a pioneer today acting in the same time like a bank - producer - shipping company - converter - etc.; depending on which action and activity is needed. NORECOM is handling today more than 400,000 tons through our offices and representatives in all major areas world-wide in North America, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Far East. We are producing/sourcing our products in Russia, Ukraine, Latin America, Europe and South East Asia.

The banking partners of Norecom can be found all over Europe; our housebanks are FORTIS Bank N.V., Dresdner Bank AG, Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG, Commerzbank AG and HypoVereinsbank AG which provide us with tools like CF e.g. for financing of raw materials on supply side. On customer side, this financial tools and strong bankers who have knowledge of trade, enabling us to support and solve many "non-tariff-trade barriers" in certain "difficult" areas in the world and help our customers in the end despite of these problems. NORECOM is also closely co-operating with prime Investing and Reconstruction Banks like the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), International Finance Corporation (IFC) etc

For many years and continuing to this day, our main activities and business expertise concentrate on the following areas: Ferro Alloys, Cokes, Coal, Semi-finished and Finished Steel Products, and our sales, marketing and distribution are mainly in the area GCC, Africa, Middle East and Europe.
