ProBionic was founded in 2000 as a biotechnology venture company by Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB) to promote R&D and commercialization of bio-products and technologies throughout the fields of human & animal health, agriculture, and environment. We are authorized as National Research Laboratory (NRL) on Molecular Microbial Ecosystematics by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) of Korea.

ProBionic is dedicated to becoming a global leader in the research and development on the field of biotechnology designed to discover and apply new microorganisms and genes from diverse environmental sources including animals, plants, insects and soils.
Utilizing its fully integrated approach, ProBionic develops novel microorganisms and biologically active compounds, such as new host-specific functional probiotics and small biomolecules.

Our ecosystematics and bioinformatics technologies facilitate the optimization of novel microorganisms and genes founded in nature to enable product solutions for the dermocosmetic, pharmaceutical, food-industrial, agricultural, and environmental markets.
