Thread Works (Pvt) Ltd (TW) was initially established as a subsidiary of the Velona Group established in 1940. Incorporated in the Year 2000, with the dawn of the new millennia, Thread Works (Pvt) Ltd has transformed its self into being the flagship company of the Velona Group. We have the proud distinction of being the pioneer of both Knitted and Woven garments in the Island, with a history that spans over 7 decades. TW is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of both knitted and woven's, and enjoys market leadership in a many categories. TW has in its portfolio three of the most respected and well known brands in the country, in Velona, Arista and Superknit.
The Velona baby range which includes nappies, towels and other essential products which complete a baby's layette, has been the most trusted choice of mothers for the last six decades. We consider it an honour to be the market leader in this product category with over 45 percent market share.
We are a vertically integrated operation which encompasses fabric knitting and weaving, to wholesale distribution and retailing of both Textiles and Apparels.

Thread Works is also a fully fledged buying office, providing a vital interface between our production units and buyers, and is capable of facilitating across the spectrum productions on any apparel need.

Both our wholly owned and partner factories are equipped with state of the art technology to deliver high quality apparel. We ensure that the entire process from selecting the most suitable factory through to shipment within delivery schedules is undertaken with care for the end buyer, ensuring satisfaction and peace of mind in this high pressure industry.

The company launched Arista an exclusive kids clothing store in 2008 and is considered by many as the premiere kids clothing store in the island.

In our continuing drive on product development, we have introduced new product lines to meet the ever changing needs of our customers. March 2012 will witness the launch of the Velona Cuddles baby diaper, which will offer consumers a high quality baby diaper at an affordable price for everyday use.
