GAL has been established in Thessaloniki Greece in 1981 and its main activity is manufacturing of truck mounted knuckle boom cranes. Our factory is in Thessaloniki in North Greece and there are working here 20 employees. In our factory we construct every single part of GAL cranes (metal construction and hydraulic cylinders) by using modern technology machinery and equipments (CNC lathe, CNC machining center, CNC plasma cutting machine, welding robot, etc) . We use only high quality raw materials like: Swedish steel DOMEX 700 made by SSAB, honed tubes and chromed tubes and bars made in Italy. In GAL cranes we use only high quality directional control valves made in Sweden.

GAL cranes are equipped in standard version with the followings:

High quality separate directional control valve for the operation of the crane and a second one for the operation of the stabilizers.

High quality hydraulic connectors made by Parker.

High quality hoses made by Parker.

Full electronic controlled overload protection system equipped with analog load sensor (IEOPS: Intelligent Electronic Overload Protection System) powered by Siemens.

Flange type load holding valves in the cylinders (main, jib and stabilizers)

Sequence valves on the cylinders of the telescopic extension booms.

Separately cylinders on the telescopic extension booms.

High quality seals made by Parker.

The metal construction is 100% made by DOMEX 700 steel made by SSAB (Sweden) .

All GAL cranes (except G3 series) are equipped with Power Link System in the jib knuckle which provides GAL cranes extra lifting power in difficult positions.

GAL cranes under 11 Tm lifting capacity (G11) are equipped with Power Link System in the main knuckle also.

GAL cranes are covered with 2 years Guarantee period.

GAL cranes are designed by using Solid Edge CAD system and all the metal construction are tested by NASTRAN FEA system.

GAL cranes are designed according DIN 15018 and EN 12999.

Every single GAL crane is tested in our factory according EN 12999 before we deliver it to the market.

By all these we are in position to manufacture very reliable cranes with long working life without problems.

We are making exports in several countries like: Germany, Poland, Malta, Cyprus, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia. Now we wish to extend our export activities in USA, Australia, South America and Africa.

We are official NATO suppliers through the Greek Army. In the local market we are suppliers of almost government sections like: National Electricity Company, Army forces, Several Municipalities, National Railway Company, Athens Subway (Metro) , etc.

In all these years that we manufacture cranes we are trying to improve our self year by year and we follow always a high quality standard policy for GAL cranes.
