Our group began to work in over different acid solid catalysts (zeolites, amorphous silica-alumina, MCM-41, etc.) in 1993. Since then, our research has been focused in two main goals. Firstly, the preparation and testing of new catalysts capable of solving the diffusional and steric problems posed by the bulky nature of plastic macromolecules. Secondly, the development of new reactions systems that allow a continuous feed of the plastic wastes solving the pitfalls problems with conventional continuous reactors due to its high viscosity. This communication is focused on the results obtained throughout these years.
