C.I.M.E.P. (Commercio Industria Marmi e Pietre) Trade Industry Marble and Stones, dates back to 1949 because of the desire of the lawyer Antonio Conversi, who gave life to a company, having as its main purpose, extracting, processing and marketing the Roman Travertine stone.
The Travertine stone, that is present in abundance on the land of the Conversi family, located between Tivoli and Guidonia Montecelio, has allowed for the opening of various quarries. Actually the extension of the excavation basins granted to CIMEP, which make use of multi-year excavation permits both regional and municipal with respect to the strictest laws, covering a very large area. The plants for manufacturing the Travertine stone are developed into three machine rooms where there is a lot of high-production machinery to perform cutting and various manufacturing of the materials according to the most stringent quality criteria set by the standards of ISO 9001-2008 which the Company is duly certified by. Furthermore, inside the plant we can find 5 diamond edged blade power looms that are able to reach a speed of more than 40cm/h on thicknesses of 1.5 cm.
