NWT Direct is a manufacturer and distributor of top quality heated towel rails / warmers and radiators. We have a distribution facility in the UK and a manufacturing facility in Turkey. Our products are exported worldwide.



Manufacturing Process:



Our heated towel rails / warmers and radiators are assembled using purpose built machinery and are welded automatically in a custom built furnace. This continuous process ensures weld quality is of the highest standard, with every heated towel rail or radiator being polished by machine/ hand before plating, to ensure a perfect finish.



The majority of our heated towel rails are manufactured using high quality 22mm diameter tubes with a wall thickness of 1.0mm. The side rails utilise a 'D' profile 30mm x 40mm x 1.5mm.



We produce an extensive range of contemporary and designer towel rails and radiators, that are not only aesthetically pleasing to the eye and manufactured to the highest standards, but offer realistic direct-from-the-manufacturer prices.



Chromium Plating Specification:



20 microns Copper - 10 microns Nickel - 0.3 microns Chromium



In 2009 we invested in a state of the art Chromium plating facility whose object is to substantially increase the minimum requirement to:



5 microns Matt Nickel

25 microns Acidic Copper

20 microns Bright Nickel

0.3 microns Chromium



Chrome plating is one of the most important processes in the manufacture of a towel rail and also one of the most difficult. To ensure the highest quality is maintained our plating line was installed utilizing a motion system rather than a conventional air pressurized system. This ensures better surface quality, a greater resistance to corrosion in every area including the welded joints.



The company also has full environmental certification for this process.



Quality Assurance



The company is accredited with DIN EN ISO 9001 : 2008 certificate registration number 01 100 054160



Every towel rail produced, is pressure tested four times at 13 bar at different stages of manufacture, thus ensuring the highest quality is maintained.



To ensure our products have the highest standard of chrome plating they have been life tested at Henkel with salt spray. The conclusion and I quote is "our heated towel rails and radiators have a great resistance to corrosion".
