Company Introduction
Our company was first formed in Malaysia in 1991 as part of the Mivan Ltd. UK group of companies and became known as MFE Formwork Technology Sdn. Bhd. in 2007 following a management buy-out. Since our early days we have seen great changes in our business development and to date the vast majority of our business is export, having now reached over 20 countries in which our product has been successfully used.
MFE Formwork is a lightweight hand held aluminium forming system that is bespoke designed for each and every project. Upon receiving structural and architectural drawings, we design our Formwork to suit your structural requirements be that an all wall or column, beam and slab construction method or even a mixture of both. We do not design your buildings, only the Formwork to form the concrete structures.
Once our Design process is complete, manufacturing begins and upon completion, the Formwork is shipped, CIF to the nearest port of the Project site. Once the material reaches site, we sent our site technical support team to the Project, who will stay for a period of 2 to 3 months, training your site staff and workforce in the proper handling of the equipment and directing them to obtain the speed of construction required to complete the project. A 4 day per floor construction work cycle is common in most countries, achieving a very high quality finish to the formed surface. Note, we do not construct the structures, only supply the Formwork and technical support.
Our formwork is best suited for low or high rise residential structures where the floor design remains constant through-out the structure, giving the formwork enough repetitions to make its use commercially viable. Please note we do not believe our system would be suitable for commercial or civil engineering works, as the number of times the formwork can be re-used without changes in design is small.
There are many advantages in using our hand held aluminium formwork system and these include;
1) Speed of construction, 4 days per floor construction cycle.
2) Formwork can be re-used over 250 times.
3) No tower cranes required to lift the formwork from floor to floor, as the formwork is lightweight.
4) Very high quality of finish, so good that walls only need a 3 to 5mm skim or putty coat plaster to achieve a perfect finish. No heavy backing plaster.
5) Externally, a good quality textured paint applied provides a high quality finish, again no plastering required.
6) Ceramic tiling can be fixed directly unto the formed concrete finish, again no plastering required to straighten the walls.
7) No scaffolding required to construct the concrete structure as we provide integrated working platform brackets to work off.
8) We provide sunken drops to floor and pipe chases to walls if required as pa
